SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY BOARD

R. Adron Harris, Ph.D. has served as a member of the ImmunoBiosciences Scientific Advisory Board since its founding. Dr. Harris is currently the Waggoner Chair of Cellular and Molecular Biology and Professor of Neurobiology, Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Texas at Austin. He was previously Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He received his Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed postdoctoral research at the University of California in San Francisco. He serves or has served on advisory boards for the National Institutes of Health, Yale University, University of California at San Francisco, Indiana University, Oregon Health and Sciences University, Howard University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Harris is a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Biological Chemistry, Molecular Pharmacology and Journal of Neurochemistry. He is the author of more than 300 scientific articles and chapters in medical textbooks. His research is focused on the structure and function of drug receptors.
